Welcome to James Bond 007 News *      Movie Quote:  It what keeps me alive ! ( 007 to Natayla - GE )   *

Now realising a lack of interest here so spending less time as you've probably read the item online, so here's how the following items appear in the printed version of The Sun ...

February 2012

Shavy Dan

A paragraph titled JAMES BURNED reports that "firefighters dashed to Pinewood Studios, Bucks - where James Bond flick Skyfall is being filmed - to deal with a lorry blaze." 007 not to blame this time. ( 01/02 ) ...

The first 'official' photo from Skyfall appeared over the net - forget the one in the pool, the following day the entertainment section had an item titled STUBBLE 0 SEVEN ON LOOSE showing "Daniel Craig with his new designer stubble" and ended "being directed by Oscar winner Sam Mendes and will be more serious than any other Bond outing. Which suits Daniel." Really ? ( 02/02 ) ...

A Classic Return

A photo item titled Drive another day shows the return of "James Bond's iconic bullet-firing Aston Martin DB5" in new movie Skyfall, while filming in Glencoe, Scotland, with the same GF number plate of BMT 216A.

Wise Jones

Meanwhile in the entertainment section a small top item titled 0-0-ADELE with a photo of Sir Tom Jones performing at the Baftas. The Bond singer who opened the awards show with his TB song is backing Grammy award winning singer "Adele to do the theme tune for Skyfall." He is quoted ..

I was 22 when I did the Thunderball song and it changed my career and was a huge honour. Not that she needs it but Adele would be the perfect choice for Skyfall.
The item ends suggesting Tom after his performance for the song "if Adele is a no go." ( 13/02 ) ...

January 2012

A raidant Yeoh

The paper's guest columnist Nancy Dell'Olio ( yes ex-Sven & tv's Strictly ) has a large photo of former Bond Girl Michelle Yeoh. The TND actress' next movie out is The Lady in which she plays Nancy's choice for BBC's Women Of The Year, "Burmese democracy campaigner Aung San Suu Kyi [seen below right who] .. was released from seven years of house arrest at the end of 2010." A smiling Michelle looks radiant at a fashion event. ( 04/01 ) ...

Devilish Tobias

Among the new tv series kicking-off the New Year is one about two fallen angels who become lawyers called Eternal Law ( ITV1, Thurs 21:00 ). The "devilish nemesis Richard" is played by Tobias Menzies [seen right of his co-stars] who was M's assistant, in place of Moneypenny, in Casino Royale. The drama series is set in York which is birth home to late Bond composer John Barry and of course Dame Judi M Dench. ( 05/01 ) ...

Leggy Teri Helping Shirley

Three items ...

  1. In the entertainment section a small item titled BOND BRASSED OFF which tells of "some enterprising music students .. started playing the Bond theme on trumpets, blasting it out of open windows from their base in the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, while cameras rolled nearby." It seems "Daniel Craig was filming the new 007 adventure Skyfall near the classroom" and "director Sam Mendes had to send a runner to the room to ask them to stop." Ah shame !
  2. In the centre tv section a leggy photo of former Bond girl Teri Hatcher appears as the final series of Desperate Housewives is aired in the UK ( More 4/C4 ). The item titled WIVES LOOK UNBREELIEVABLE and compare the ladies 7 years on with early cast photo and new photos including seen Teri.
  3. Finally in sunwoman section the Monday's interview is Bond singer Dame Shirley Bassey who talks about her early motherhood titled Helping to cope with being a teen mum. I found the intro more interesting advising that she is "best known for recording theme songs for three James Bond movies. The singer celebrated her 75th birthday yesterday ... twice divorced Dame Shirley, born into poverty in Tiger Bay, Cardiff to an English mum [Eliza] and Nigerian dad, now lives in Monte Carlo." The item ends with talk of her weight "filled out to 130lb" and her mother's quote of If you've got it, show it. She's kept true to her word. ( 09/01 ) ...
  4. A small item titled BOND SHAKEN claims "a vodka martini fit for James Bond should not be shaken - but stirred with a PENCIL experts say." It appears "metal cocktail spoons conduct too much heat from the bartender's hand and warm up the drink, according to readers of New Scientist magazine .. [one who] wrote: A pencil has less surface area, less mass, a lower specific heat and will therefore conduct less heat." No chance of lead poisioning from the pencil ? ( 27/01 ) ...

PM Broz

If you're following my tweets, former 007 Pierce Brosnan appeared as a retired British Prime Minister Adam Lang in the premiere showing of his movie The Ghost ( C4, Sun 21:00 ). Very enjoyable with Ewan McGregor as The Ghost writer. ( 29/01 ) ...
