Miscellaneous ...
- I had to have a chuckle at tv presenter Jeremy Clarkson's Saturday column in The Sun, he noticed after recent coolest lists for everything that there were no list for cars, so being an expert of fine vehicles he listed his own Top 10 Coolest as follows ...
- Aston Martin DB9
- Aston Martin Vanquish
- Aston Martin AMV8
- Aston Martin V8
- Aston Martin DB5
- Aston Martin DB6
- Aston Martin DB7
- Aston Martin Virage
- Aston Martin Volante
- Renault Avantime
The item was titled IF IT'S COOL IT ASTON BE A MARTIN, now I wonder why ? Now his uncoolest list was topped by anything yellow and at the bottom the VW Beetle. Nice one JC ! ( 02/10 ).
- The Sun's tv page reveals that "FORMER Bond Girl Teri Hatcher's new TV soap Desperate Housewives is the biggest US telly premiere this year after scooping 21 million viewers. Teri, 39 plays single mum Susan Mayer ... Channel 4 will show it in the New Year" ( 06/10 ).
- My local news programme London Tonight ( ITV1, Wed ) had an interview with Bond star Sir Roger Moore who talked about his upcoming Film/TV tribute in London, his work for UNICEF ( how it was real work compared to Bond ) and the next 007 as not his "restaurateur son Geoffrey", he suggested Ewan McGregor due to his recent UNICEF work. The item was recorded in a bank vault with a door - "used for an earlier Bond not" his - GF Rog ? ( 20/10 ).
- Two Saturday items caught my attention in The Sun:
- Columnist & tv presenter Lorraine Kelly suggests "bosses look no further than the end of their noses, at a man who has starred in the last three James Bond films .. I'm talking about ridiculously handsome Colin Salmon, who played M's right-hand man, MI6 agent Charles Robinson. He is tall dark and gorgeous with buckets of charisma and the dangerous edge not seen in Bond since the days of mighty Sean Connery."
Steady girl, this follows his recent tv appearance in the crime series Trial & Retribution ( 16/10 ).
- Every picture tells a story as GE/TWINE actor Robbie Coltrane "winces with pain as he gets into a cab after a night out with his arm in a sling". His Potter character of Hagrid is seen, the popular actor "believed to have suffered the fracture while filming". Well it wasn't 007 as he went for the leg, but seriously get well Rob ( 23/10 ).
-
Popped into my local Blockbuster to have a look around and saw EON video game's still full price.
Picked up their Xmas brochure and saw that the next game GoldenEye: Rogue Agent comes out 3rd December in UK priced at £37.99.
Described as "experience life as a high-rolling, cold-hearted villain.
The focus of this first-person shooter shifts from 007 himself to the corrupt underworld and its criminal masterminds."
Sounds like my kinda guy ! ( 28/10 ).
