Who are you ?

At the centre bottom of The Sun's tv pages is a snap ( looks like taken on a mobile phone ) of "former James Bond star Timothy Dalton [who] goes from meeting Dr No to Doctor Who." Actually Sean met Dr No but under a heading of WHO TO A KILL a smiling "Timothy, 63, is set to appear with current Timelord David Tennant, centre, and co-star John Simm [ of Life On Mars who plays The Master ]." Dalton will play "a judge who puts the Doctor on trial in an intergalactic trial - and will scare the Living Daylights out of him" in this year's Christmas special. There's an insert photo of Tim as 007 from LTK not TLD for the pun.
For the photo I'm guessing jokers David & John are either saying "Oh Oh 7!" or singing the CSI theme tune - "Who are you ?" to an amused Tim.
Finally I have always had this imaginary scene of Tim at one of his beloved theatres in a circle discussing Shakespeare with Patrick Stewart of Star Trek/X-Men and Sir Ian McKellen of Lord Of The Rings/X-Men. I'd probably hang around for ten minutes then quietly exit stage right ( 17/06 ).

May I snog your wife ?

Sorry another one about former Bond girl Halle Berry, well you know my admiration by now ! Under Sun heading of SHOCK lip-locks tells of "the Award for Best Extra- Martial Grope goes to ... Halle Berry and Jamie Foxx. The hot Hollywood pair raised eyebrows at the Guys Choice Awards by snogging in front of Halle's fella." What an understanding guy, how many married men with an attractive wife would allow a mate to kiss her ? The photo used to plug a feature on the paper's website shows Berry in serious lovin' mode. Why Jamie's wearing sunglasses I never know ! To use an old Brucie Generation Game saying "Fill your boots, son !" ( 05/06 ).

James Bond News: Miscellaneous

1. Noticed the following Bond related items in The Sun ...


1. Have a feeling June's gonna be a strange one ! .. the end paragraph of a page devoted to Bank Holiday weather & beach pics tells of "an ice lolly shaped like 007 Daniel Craig [which] was launched by Del Monte after a poll found he was the star most women would love to lick" with a beach photo from CR and that lolly which I find a little spooky. Sorry only for the ladies ( 01/06 ).


2. Two items ..
   1. You know fiddling around with the photo editing package, let's turn celebrities into funny faces ? So a website ( www.worth1000.com ) has been set up to display their distorted creations. A whole page titled SWELLebritities is given to an array of stars with Bond star Daniel Craig taking centre stage with a photo taken from QOS making him like look like Mr Spock's brother !
   
   
   2. Meanwhile on the tv page next to heading of PUSHY JUDI, Bond star Dame Judi Dench so often seen as M ordering Craig around as 007 has "got back into her bonnet corset yesterday to film the Cranford Christmas special. The Oscar-winning actress was in Victorian costume as she pushed a child around in a pram on set. The 74-year-old plays kind-hearted spinster Miss Matty Jenkyns in the BBC1 drama." Did Q design any special specs for the M pram ? ( 10/06 ).
3. Congrats to Bond villains Scaramanga & Carver ! On the Queen Honours List "horror legend Christopher Lee, 87, will swoop on London to get a knighthood" while "Jonathan Pryce, 62, ...gets a CBE". Well done to both ! ( 13/06 ).


4. On the entertainment pages next to smiling photo of "Bond girl Gemma Arterton [who] chose the Donnington Park event [Download Festival] to announce her fella is putting a monster of a rock on her finger. The actress told pals her boyfriend proposed to her at the fest. And she said yes." and the item suggesting "a whirlwind romance" as "she only split with stuntman Eduardo Munoz in December". Ah true love, congrats all round ( 15/06 ).


5. A centre page spread titled The Falsie Index is given to famous ladies who have had boob ops including "Bond babe Denise Richards, who played a nuclear physicist in TWINE, had her first boob op in 1990. The 38-year-old actress .. went from 36B to 36C .. the following year .. a shapely 36D .. in 1992 she had smaller ones .. 36C [as] she is today." As someone who uses Twitter and follows her activities ( e.g. holiday in Hawaii with Dad & 2 girls ), never in my mind would I imagine getting a quick reply when pointing out the story URL to her. Her short reply of "well they got it wrong!" proves never upset a lady about her cup size or believe what you read in the papers, however interesting from a male perceptive ( 18/06 ).
6. Blink and you miss a paragraph headed DR KNOW which tells of "Bond star Sir Sean Connery, 78, [who] got an honorary doctorate yesterday at Edinburgh Napier University." Well done Sir Sean or is it Dr Sean ? ( 20/06 ).


7. Two items ...
   1. On the entertainment pages "after a night at the Ivy Club in central London" the writer jokingly suggests that Bond star Daniel Craig may have gone over to the Dark Side ! Taking his face from a back seat photo, they use it to replace/compare to Ian McDiarmid's image of Emperor Palpatine of the Star Wars movies. Suggesting Dan in the role would tell Luke Skywalker: "The name's Palpatine. Emperor Palpatine ..." then shoot him rather than matching words !
   2. Another blink and you miss a paragraph headed No1 BOND BADDIE which claims "James Bond foe Blofeld - evil group SPECTRE's Number 1 - is top 007 baddie, says a fans' poll" Like most mentioned polls, no source is given ( 25/06 ).
