The Air Training Corps is a National Organisation. It is a disciplined,
uniformed Youth Organisation which is supported nationwide by the
Royal Air Force (RAF).

The Corps is always looking for new staff, both male and female,
If you have an interest in aircraft and aviation subjects, and can spare two evenings a week, then the ATC could be for you. You will join, initially, as a Civilian Instructor (CI). After a period of time you can opt to transfer to uniform either as an NCO (Adult Sergeant) or as an officer.

Both routes have promotion prospects. The Adult Sergeant can gain promotion to Adult Flight Sergeant and ultimately Adult Warrant Officer, the officer will commence as a Pilot Officer, gain promotion to Flying Officer and subject to vacancies, Flight Lieutenant. A Flight Lieutenant is usually in charge of a Squadron. However, some go beyond that as Flight Lieutenant or Squadron Leader on Wing Staff (overseeing a group of squadrons) and every so often one makes it to the dizzy heights of Wing Commander responsible for a large number of squadrons over a large geographical area.
