Being Kind To George was written to help build awareness of how easily the delicate balance of nature can be disturbed, often unwittingly and by misplaced 'kindness'.

I wrote and drew the illustrations for this book one winter as I looked across the lake at Coate Water, Wiltshire, England. We run the small cafe by the side of the lake, it was from here that I had watched this true story unfold before my very own eyes.

From when George first appeared at the lake that Spring, how he had been befriended by more and more of the visitors to the park, and how his temperment and living habits had been changed, all in just one summer. We were all sad to see him go, but we knew it was for the best.

Why not buy my book, read the story and see what happened to George? By buying this book YOU TOO will be helping us to care for OUR wildlife.

The other characters in the book, Greg, Oliver and Sue, all exist and can be identified from my drawings.

Oliver, our pet Great Dane, has however sadly passed away, peacefully, from old age.

Sue is a Countryside Ranger at the park but she also puts every spare minute of her day into rescuing and caring for sick and injured birds and animals, the proceeds from most of my books are donated to help her in her charitable work.

To help raise money to support the work she does, Sue has written a collection of short stories which can be purchased from this website or Sue's.
