To do this we expect a high level of commitment from all those involved with the Squadron, in order that this training can be both useful and enjoyable for the cadets and also the instructors.
32F operate on the basis of TEAMWORK and recognise that all members are equally important to the well-being of the Squadron and that all individuals within the team have an important role to play irrespective of rank."
Flt Lt Jim Haley, OC 32F Squadron
32F Squadron are proud to be first Squadron of the Air Training Corps to be formed in Scotland. Initially formed as the Air Defence Cadet Corps, No 32F (1st Scottish) Squadron were accommodated in the Headquarters of 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron of the Royal Air Force.
When the ADCC became the Air Training Corps in 1941, 32F retained the title of 1st Scottish Squadron until the amalgamation of the City of Glasgow and the Ayrshire Wings in 1948, when 32F Squadron became the 1st Glasgow Squadron.

32F have attempted to reclaim the title of 1st Scottish Squadron and requested permission to be known as 32F (1st Scottish), rather than 32F (1st Glasgow) Squadron, but this has been rejected by Region and Headquarters Air Cadets, who do not want to create a precedent for Irish, Welsh and English Squadrons to follow suit. This is unfortunate but the Squadron will continue the struggle.
The crest above (designed by CWO Michael Hill, now CI Hill) represents 32F's claim to be the 1st Scottish Squadron.
