Bough Beech 7mm
Finescale O gauge
This fictitious layout is loosely set in the Tonbridge-Redhill area of southeast England and depicts the end of a non-electrified branch. The station is served by two passenger services: a Thames Turbo service from Reading via Redhill and a class 101 DMU service from Three Bridges. There is also an occasional parcels service to and from Tonbridge.
The layout features two small engineers yards. The riverside yard is mainly used for storage of rakes of ballast wagons between duties. The other yard adjacent to the station is used for general engineers wagons, Tampers and occasionally a Railtrack MPV. Bough Beech is also home to a small traction maintenance depot operated by EWS, although other operators locomotives visit for refuelling and maintenance, This allows for more variety of liveries. The TMD receives its fuel by rail, which is delivered in 3 TTB wagons to the depot's fuel storage tanks. The line is also used to run-in the occasional preserved locomotive both steam and diesel.
