Our conductor for the Prom Praise choir this year is Paul Beardwood, one of the organists from St.Lukes church and the rehearsal leader for the Merseyside (Albert Hall) choir 2 years ago.

Paul writes “My love of church music began many years ago at Whiston Methodist Church progressing through the youth choir, learning to play the organ before taking on roles as choir leader and principle organist.

I combined my musical skills with my love of the musical stage (behind the scenes rather than on it I must add!) as Musical Director for 10 years at our annual church shows, establishing a small orchestra and teaching both soloists and chorus members of mixed ages and abilities.

I look forward to working with members of the Prom Praise choir again throughout our rehearsals, to bring out the best in all of us for what will be a lively evening at the Phil”
