DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The scene was created with Moray. I spent most of my time trying to make an appropriate texture for the cheese, and failed to get what I was trying for. I wanted to get some translucency, but that seems impossible without seeing through it. I tried media, which would have worked without the holes, but did not work with them. Everything in the scene is either a primitive or csg, except the fly's wings, which are very thin heightfields with a texture map pattern gradient. The sign uses an image map made with Corel PhotoPaint. The image of the plane is from a model made entirely out of spheres. The scene uses radiosity, and antialias depth of 4 to try to get the detail of the mouse whiskers, although they still look somewhat pixelly. I tried antialias of 6, which took hours to render, and produced no improvement, so I settled on 4. My laptop that I use for this gets very hot, so I have to avoid really long renders.
