Date: 02/28/07 Title: "This is not a checkered plane" Artist: Jim Charter Renderer:MegaPov Tools: Wings3d, Poseray, UVMapper,PS,Python A main camera points at a unit box "screen" The box has a checkered pigment pattern Each pigment of the pattern is a separate camera_view pigment One camera_view points in the -z direction at a landscape tiled from hf's which are displaced by means of a function image The other camera_view points in the +z direction at the same landscape rotated 180 degrees and which also contains some figure elements and their footprints. Each "half" of the scene has it's own light_group. The figures were modelled in Wings, uvmappered in UVMapper, and Converted with Poseray. The textures are all procedural. The atmosphere is fog I first thought of doing benday dots a la Lichtenstein then quickly got to interleaved images a la James Rosenquist. I suppost the image is meant to convey somthing about transience.
