The technology used gives advantages over other lighting techniques. LED’s have a very long
life expectancy and low power consumption.

By using LED’s, the heat emitted by the light itself is virtually non-existent.  Therefore, this type of
lighting is ideally suited for illuminating processes where any fluctuation in temperature influenced
by external sources is prohibitive.

Examples exist in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries for viewing the internal operational
status of a reactor vessel. Also, to provide lighting for the inside of tanks and holders that contain
flammable substances.

There are many other applications where this type of task lighting is advantageous for use in
hazardous areas.
