At the Leading Edge of Technology  IQL is the new concept in light generation, developed and
patented by IMT in close co-operation with Philips. It is based on their technically innovative QL induction
system but with significant increases in lifetime and reliability.

100,000 hrs is the life expectancy of the IQL55 (55W) and IQ 85 (85W) lights.
10 years operational warranty is standard. IMT will supply a new fitting free of charge if the luminaire
malfunctions, under normal operating conditions, during the first 10 years. (60,000 hrs and 6 years for
IQL165 (165W)).

Construction and Specification demands make the IQL luminaries very versatile and suitable
for many areas of use and a range of applications. The sealed for life units are dust tight
and resistant to shock, vibration and climatic changes such as temperature and humidity.
The luminaires are completely water- tight and are able ignite and re-ignite instantly at
temperatures as low
as -40ºC.

Different types are available: general industrial, area and street lighting; flood and high bay
fittings; obstruction/signal/indication/ emergency and helideck lighting.
They are available for both safe and hazardous environments.

ATEX certified versions are approved to Category 2 and/or 3, which makes them suitable
for use in both gas (zones 1 and/or 2) and dust (zones 21 and/or 22) atmospheres
(other approvals are available).

Industries such as oil/gas, petrochem, chemical, pharmaceutical, food/dairy and water/waste
will benefit from their inbuilt technical versatility.

Cost advantages of a system based on IQL are significant. The financial benefits of operating
an energy saving, long-life, and maintenance free lighting system are
inherently obvious.
However, these savings can be evaluated by a user-friendly software programme that includes
calculations on the cost of ownership as well as efficiency statistics.

Safety considerations are minimised because there is a major reduction in the risk potential to
personnel:  i.e. no need for ladders/scaffolding, no need for frequent abseiling from towers and
chimneys, no re-lamping in icy or treacherous weather conditions, no need for work permits and
disruption of normal operational routines.

 Maintenance requirements are non-existent.

FIT and FORGET

is the maxim that applies to IQL luminaires.

switch the IQL system on and you can switch off.
