There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.
Our evening meeting consists of registration, inspection and then fun and games. We have various activities, competitions, singing, contests and stories to learn and take part in. We have a refreshment break about half way through the evening and end the evening with our closing ceremony. We work towards the Cub activity and challenge badges and encourage the Beavers to try and earn their Chief Scout Silver Award before they leave Cubs to join Scouts.
Our Pack consists of up to 30 boys and girls, who are grouped into four different coloured "Sixes". Each "Six" has has an older Cub as a "Sixer" and another as the "Seconder". These Cubs help to settle new boys and girls into their Sixes and the Pack. Our adult leaders and helpers are named after characters in "The Jungle Book".

Uniform Information
|
The Cub uniform is a green sweatshirt and the group scarf. Within the Pack there are activity and challenge badges you can earn. These badges are sewn on to the shirt.
The image to the right of this text shows you where these badges should be sewn. Please click the image to enlarge.
The Cub leader will advise you when you will be required to obtain the uniform. Both the shirt and necker are available from the Gosport District Scout and Guide Shop, 30 Alver Road, Gosport.
We also wear a Group t-shirt for some activities, these are available locally. The Leaders will be able to give you more information on this item.
