St George’s Day 2012

Alver Valley Hedge Planting - January 2011

Members of 5th Gosport Sea Scout Troop helping out with The Tree Council's Hedgerow Harvest Project. The Tree Council who fund this project have a goal of making trees matter to everyone. As a body the Tree Council work towards:

  • More trees, of the right kind, in the right places
  • Better care for all trees, of all ages
  • Inspiring effective action for trees

Alverstoke Junior School Christmas Fair - December 2010

The Group completed the Fairs and Fetes season with the Alverstoke Junior School Christmas Fair. These three young ladies won prizes on our Teddy Bear Tombola, as well as the Polar Bear with the winning name "Bailey", picked at random at the end of the Fair.

Bay House School Christmas Fayre - November 2010

Members of the Troop are also pupils at Bay House School, so our fund-raising stall attended their Christmas Fair. Here we have the stall ready for action.

Remembrance Day - November 2010

Remembrance Day was a very wet time for all. Here members of the Troop march on to Parade. The Beavers and Cubs plus Leaders, Committee and Parents also braved the weather to pay their respects to the fallen, to remember the wounded and those suffering still.

Stubington Fayre - August 2010

Lorna (with "Jeffery"), after winning the "Name the Polar Bear" competition at the Stubbington Fayre. This is the first time the Group have had a stall at the Fayre, but it's likely to be a regular event for us from now on.
