  • We try to keep a balance between campaigning and practical, hands on work.

Between meetings, we work on various campaigns, help out on an organic farm nearby, work on community gardening and wildlife projects, give talks on green issues and try to get an environmental point of view into the press and into the City Council planning committees.

Permaculture in action

  • The heart of the group is the monthly planning meeting, currently held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30pm  in the Quaker Meeting House, Crown Street, Aberdeen.  These are a chance to catch up on how various campaigns and projects are going, discuss recent news, exchange ideas and plan what we do for the next month.

  • Friends of the Earth Scotland is an independent charity. The success of our work depends heavily on membership, donations, and fundraising. If you believe in a healthier environment for everyone, we urgently need you to join us. According to the Guardian newspaper, by joining Friends of the Earth you will become part of "the UK's most effective environment group."
