Praise & Play:

An opportunity for pre-school children and their carers to meet for a few songs, a story, a craft activity and a drink. The activities will explore a little of what God is like.

Anyone with a baby or Toddler is welcome on :-

Noughts and Crosses Youth Group

 

For secondary school aged children held every other Wednesday at the vicarage. (Contact Julie Lillicrap 01270 628864)

 

Soup and a Roll

 

A warm welcome awaits for those more mature in years who wish to find company and fellowship and lunch at the Vicarage.

Normally on the first Monday of the month from 12pm untill 2pm. (Contact Julie Lillicrap  01270 628864)

 

Bell Ringing

St Mary's, Acton - Practice 8pm every tuesday evening (Contact Zoe Sutton )

St Bartholomew's, Church Minshull Bell Ringing Practice 7.30pm every Wednesday evening (Contact Brian Charlesworth 01270 522252)

Sunday Clubs

St Mary's, Acton Sunday Club 1st and 3rd Sundays of the Month during term time. (Contact Tracey Foster 01270 626802)

St Oswald's Sunday Club held from 9.30am at St Oswalds Cof E Primary School usually on the 4th Sunday of the month. (Contact Ann Nicholas 01270 528273)

 

Guides and Brownies, Darnall:

Ist Darnhall Guides and Brownies. The Guide Company meets on a Monday evening and is captained by Maralyn Robinson, who can be contacted for more information on 01606-554231. The Brownie Pack meets on a Wednesday evening. You can contact Brown Owl, Angela Clarke, on 01606-593593. A full and interesting Guiding programme is made available to all the girls - see www.girlguiding.org.uk Their monthly parade service is held at St David's, where they act as sides-persons and take a prominent part the service.

At a recent Parade Service, St David's had a Chocolate Sundae (Sunday?) -
something about new year's resolutions, but did not include giving up chocolate or jelly babies!

School Assemblies:

There is a team of willing volunteers who take Collective acts of Worship / School Assemblies seeing each child approximately once a fortnight.

Special services involving the schools are arranged on request
