We are fortunate enough to have the generous support of the following companies and governing bodies. Without whom our campaign would be a lot harder!

UK Sport

The UK Sports Institute is the name given to a network of centres and a central team of experts that supports UK athletes.

AIRBUS UK

Airbus is one of only two aircraft manufacturers in the market for large commercial airliners. It designs, builds, sells and supports commercial aircraft with a capacity of 100 seats or more.

With its Central Office in Toulouse, France, Airbus boasts the most modern and comprehensive airliner family in the world and consistently captures about half of all commercial airliner orders. More than 2,500 Airbus aircraft are currently in operation with 189 operators in all regions of the globe.

Airbus reached a turnover of US$17.2 billion in 2000 and had booked more than 4,300 orders by the end of July 2001. It produces more than one aircraft every working day and this rate keeps increasing.

On July 11th, Airbus formally became a single integrated company, with retroactive effect from 1st January 2001, thus passing another major milestone in its history of achievements since its creation as a consortium in 1970.

All Airbus resources and know-how located in France, Germany, Spain and the UK have now been consolidated into a single standard operating company, under the day-to-day control of a single management team.

The integration of all its functions enables Airbus to obtain even greater efficiency through the concentration of purchasing power, faster decision making and a direct control over costs. Synergies thus generated are expected to reach at least 350 million euros per annum by 2004.

The new company is established as a French simplified joint stock company or S.A.S. (Société par Actions Simplifiée) and two shareholders, the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) and BAE SYSTEMS of the UK respectively hold 80 per cent and 20 per cent of the new stock.
