Banff/Turriff Networks
The Banff and Turriff Networks facilitate social, educational and employment opportunities for young physically disabled people in the Banff and Turriff areas - including Aberchirder, Cornhill, Cuminestown, Gamrie and Portsoy.
Aims:
- to promote independence
- to reduce isolation
- to encourage learning new skills
- to enable members to move on to mainstream activities
Network activities:
- The Networks meet monthly at a venue chosen by the group and plan activities together. Network members are actively involved in researching and organising all outings and activities. These include gym sessions, computer sessions and days and nights out.
- The Networks produce monthly newsletters and we have recently started our own computer sessions in order to provide an environment where the group can learn new skills and produce the newsletter together.
