Disability Information Service
News
The main objectives of the Disability Information Service are to provide
information and support, and promote the availability of a range of good,
locally based products and integrated services. With its fully integrated
electronic database containing a wide variety of information on any aspect
of disability, ADA can now offer assistance to anyone in South, North or
Central Aberdeenshire. Enquiries are invited from the public, and are handled
in the main office at Unit 4 Blackhall Industrial Estate, Inverurie.
Stephen Leeman, ADA’s Disability Information Service Development Worker,
is the person tasked with ensuring the accuracy and breadth of the information
available, and thereafter ensuring dissemination to the widest possible audience.
A full range of information exists for the benefit of the community, including
information on Social Services, Voluntary Groups, Leisure & Recreation, Education,
Local Authorities & Public Services, Transport and Travel, and Equipment.
ADA is aware that more can be done to extend its work and influence to encompass the whole of Aberdeenshire. Through the use of this Disability Information Service, ADA is widening its horizons to engage with people right across the Shire, raising awareness and availability. For further information or to make an enquiry please contact Stephen Leeman, on 01467 629909 or email him at stephenleeman@tiscali.co.uk.
