Husband's General Notes
There is no mention in Bigland (published 1786) for the family. Neither is there a mention in History of Mangotsfield (Rev Arthur Emlyn Jones) even though that book mentions Yeomen of that class that Isaac would have been. There is a passing mention of Burchill and of a Henry Jones as being tennants.
PCC Will obtained from Public Record Office Documents online, also a copy of the Death Duty Registers via The National Archivist.
He left property and land at Bromley Heath, Frampton Cotterell, Hambrook and Downend to his wife and stipluated to which of his offspring they should go after her death. It states that one daughter, Elizabeth, who married a George Burchell, had already died and names her seven children including an Isaac Webbelee Burchell.
Sadly the Death Duty Register does not provide much more detail. His estate was estimated to be worth around £200.
"2 Years Rent of certain pemises in the Occupation of Wiltshire and William Whitchurch " to his eldest son John Webbelee " after the decease of Testors Wife and previous to Testors Grandchildren: Isaac, Robert, Elizabeth, Ann , George, John and Joseph having the possession thereof."
"Farming Stock, Household Goods, Household Chattells, Implements of Household, Monies, Wearing Apparel, Farming and Livestock" to this wife Elizabeth Webbelee "but in case she should marry then equally among" his children: Jacob, Samuel, John and Maria.
There are later notes which are largely indecipherable: one relates to farming stock and others date from 1849 and 1871.
