& SUPPORT FOR
ADOPTED
CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
Hi, I'm Stephen
Eccles and I'm Adoption Support's adopted children & young
people's worker. I provide advice and support to young adopted
people and work in partnership with adoptive families' support
workers for the benefit of adopted children throughout the
midlands.
I am also responsible
for establishing a unique and innovative programme of events and
residential camps for adopted young people throughout the
midlands. The variety and number of these events has steadily
grown in recent years and in 2010 around 40 children and young
people from across the midlands have benefited from being involved
in the exciting activities arranged for the camps.
The residential camps
are held at well established activity centres in and around the
midlands, such as the Kingswood Educational Activity Centre in
Staffordshire, and all are run by fully qualified, dedicated staff
who have experience of working with adopted children & young
people.
In addition to the
camps, Adoption Support also offers occasional activity days and
Christmas fun days for adopted children and their families.
I'm presently
arranging the activity schedule for 2011 and have listed the dates
of the events below. I'll update and add details of other events
in the future, so please check back from time to time!
