MARATHON MAN!

This year we have received an extremely generous offer from Will Williams to run a marathon in aid of Adoption Support. Will explains more about the run below, but on behalf of all at Adoption Support I'd like to wish Will all the best.

To make a pledge please click on the Justgiving logo below. This will take you to Will's fundraising page where you can donate.

Thanks so much to Will for the undoubted pain you're about to put yourself through for the people we support and thanks to everyone who helps him through those 26 miles by making a donation.

Mark

Thanks for visiting. Hopefully, you'll be pledging soon too!

I began running in 1981 and have entered a number of organised races of varying lengths over the past years, raising money for several charities. On 4th October I'll be running the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon in aid of Adoption Support.

As some of you will know, Adoption Support is a small charity with a big project, covering the whole of the West Midlands and beyond. They provide invaluable post adoption services to anyone whose life has been affected by the adoption process. They help they give people is demonstrated on this very website. Anyone who needs to talk about how adoption affects them can call Adoption Support's confidential helpline and access a whole host of specialist services.

To help Adoption Support continue providing these essential services, I'm looking to raise £5,000 from my marathon run. I'm also going to attempt to break my own record set at the London Marathon. I'm sure you will all give generously for this cause but if I achieve my 'holy grail' time and complete the run in under 4 hours, I'd like to think one or two bonus donations might be made! I'll let everyone know whether I make the time as soon as I can after the event, so keep checking back here after you've made your pledge.

My experience of Adoption Support proves to me that their work is unique and extremely valuable to those who need it. Shrinking funding streams mean that they are unlikely to be in a position to expand and develop their services without your help, so once again I ask you to please give as generously as you can.

Many thanks.

Will Williams.
