HELPING
US TO HELP OTHERS

Adoption Support depends on
donations and grants to ensure it can continue to meet the needs of
ever increasing numbers of people who contact us. Some valuable resources are made available by
grant making organisations which enable us to fund many essential
projects to help those affected by adoption.
A large proportion of our income
is provided by our contracts with various local authorities,
however, in the current financial climate, the level of funding from
these contracts is also under threat despite the fact that we are
dealing with more and more people.
However we receive funding, it
only goes so far, as we generally can't raise money for our core
infrastructure costs. Consequently, donations from individuals
who have either benefited from the services we provide, or wish to
contribute so that we can help others are always greatly
appreciated.
Current Projects
Adoption Support is
aiming to provide a range of new services including support sessions
for different groups of people affected by adoption, training events
and the provision of comfortable and secure surroundings for
sensitive contact meetings. We
have recently secured additional space at our offices in Birmingham,
with a view to providing these extra services, however, the rooms we
have taken over are in dire need of refurbishment, alteration and
furnishing before they can be put to use.
We estimate that we will
need to spend around £5,000 in order to make the necessary
improvements and begin providing these much needed services,
however, funds for these projects are very difficult to secure due
to the general lack of awareness of post adoption issues. Should you
or someone you know be able to help us, either directly by means of
a donation, or indirectly by being able to provide services,
materials or furniture, we would very much appreciate hearing from
you.

Donations

If you would like to make either
a one-off donation, or a regular monthly donation to Adoption
Support, please click below to visit Justgiving.

Justgiving not only collect
donations on our behalf but also arrange for Gift Aid allowances to
automatically be added to donations (provided they are made by a tax
payer!). What this means is that for every £10 donated, Adoption
Support will receive almost £12 to put toward our work.

newsletters (including extra content to that shown on the website),
information and discounts on Adoption Support events and
conferences.
If you would like to become
a friend of Adoption Support, please
email
us your name, address and telephone number, and we will send
you a standing order form with which to make your regular
donation.
Volunteering
As a charity, we also appreciate
another invaluable resource, people's time! We are always happy to
talk to people willing to volunteer their time as there are many
occasions when an extra pair of hands is extremely useful. If you
are interested in becoming a volunteer, please complete this form
and post it to us. Alternatively, if you would like
more information, please contact me on our main office number
above.
Thank you for your support.
