S. Namib, N. & W. Bushmanland, always associated with white
This has the broadest, thickest leaves within the A. marianiae
complex. Mostly is has chalky, grey-green leaves, but in the
Skimmelberg/Anenous area, gorgeous red spotted forms have been found.
Difficult to grow and very easily rotted in the UK. Do not remove
leaves for propagation in winter!
I have seen this at Morenskadu farm, E. Springbok; Ratelpoort, S.
Steinkopf; on the Kabinaberg & near Umdaus, N. Steinkopf. A
description of it's discovery, see this White
article by Bryan Makin.
