DISTRIBUTION
Roggeveldberge, S. Bushmanland mountain
slopes, widespread individuals.
CHARACTERS
More robust than A. humilis
and fallax, with stouter
stems.
Outstanding florally - it is the
only bird-pollinated
Adromischus with lovely red, pendant flowers, some with orange
centres. There is a good photo by John Manning of these beautiful
flowers in the SANBI POSA images site.
CULTIVATION
It needs sufficient water in summer
to enable growth of very stout,
tall inflorescences. Feed and
repot regularly.
COMMENTS
Leaves can be plain light green
or mottled red, much enhanced in
summer sunshine.
