Greek Wine

A note about the local wine - you are warned beforehand that the wine is quite strong and it is. The problem is that it's delicious and goes down very easily. You don't feel it until it's too late; well I didn't anyway. The first couple of hours were fine; getting quite merry and then BANG! It hits you like an 18-wheeler.

I can remember bits and pieces of what happened after that. I don't remember being carried up the steps by 2 girls with a third pushing me from behind with her hands where they shouldn't have been. I don't remember announcing quite loudly to the whole coach that I wasn't drunk at all. Apparently, I did that several times before we even left the restaurant. I don't remember arguing with the coach driver that I wasn't feeling sick and that I would be fine.

The coach drivers do so many tours and airport runs that they can't afford to have someone being sick on their coach. It's almost a paranoia with them. I can understand it but I wasn't sick and I didn't see anyone being sick in the 2 weeks I was there. They fine you quite heavily if you have an accident - about £40.

However, the next day I paid a very high price. I wasn't actually sick but that didn't stop my tummy doing triple-somersaults and the like and that was just looking at a cup of coffee. I didn't really come round until I was going to bed the next night.

The whole point is - Take note of the warning and don't get cocky like I did!
