You're picked up by boat at Kefalos Harbour and spend the morning
fishing. For a bit of fun,
the captain has prizes for the biggest fish caught and 1 for the most fish caught by a team. In our case, they were a HUGE bottle of Ouzo and a bottle of wine for each team member.
You can tell whenever someone catches another fish because there's a shout of "OUZO!, more Ouzo" from him.
Towards lunchtime, the boat makes it's way a private beach. They only way to this beach is by boat so it's really nice and peaceful. This is where the barbecue is held - [1], [2]. There's loads of time to go for a swim or whatever before the food is ready. The water is deep enough to go diving off the boat.
No matter what you get up to, you can smell the food being prepared. We were told that we'd be eating the fish we'd caught earlier but, if that's true, those fish must've doubled in size while they were on the grill. Don't get me wrong they were very tasty as is all the food in Greece; they were just a lot smaller when they were caught.
When it was ready, everybody rushed forward because the smell was just too good. There's a shedload of salad and wine to go along with it so there's plenty for seconds and even thirds.
After all that food and some time to let it settle, it's off back to the resort. After a bit of banter between the boat captains, the race is on!
