Jurassic Cemetery in Southborough
I am told by David Tourle of Modest Corner, Southborough that he saw a large dinosaur toy, at the entrance to the Cemetery on Saturday 22 September, only it moved. It was a four foot long Iguana, and this was about midday. David with Malcolm the keeper of the cemetery, who resides there. between them they coached this large lizard in to a corner of the cemetery and called the RSPCA. The RSPCA were busy and could not come until 8pm.
The Iguana climbed a tree, and the RSPCA called the fire brigade who got it down by cutting a branch at 9pm. The RSPCA took the creature away. Apparently Iguana's eat vegetation and climb a trees, they don't have teeth but a type of bone like beak.
All involved deserve the councils thanks for their help to the town, dealing with this situation.
