Dover Castle Archers was formed in 1978. We are a target archery club and shoot outdoors during the summer season and indoors during the winter months. Members use recurve, and compound bows. The English longbow is also shot. Crossbows are not accepted.  We are a relaxed and friendly Club and cater as much for those who wish just to shoot for their own pleasure, as for the more competitive Archer.

Shooting is possible every day of the week into the evenings during the outdoor season, and on Sundays at our indoor venue at Whitfield, near Dover in East Kent. Our outdoor grounds are situated in Waldershare Park, near Eythorne, Dover.

Archery training courses for beginners are run during the outdoor season, the first one usually commencing in May.  A charge of £30 is made for a course of six lessons, including use of Club training equipment. If you decide it's not for you, there's no pressure or obligation to join the Club.

Juniors are welcome in the Club, usually from 12 years upwards, but those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, or other responsible adult.

All members must be affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society, Southern Counties Archery Society and Kent Archery Association. Third Party insurance is covered by the Affiliations. The current annual fees, and how they are made up, are shown below.

GNAS Affiliation £33.00 £20.00
