My name is Alec Whitfield. This site lists all my family interests. The idea is that you can dig around, and if you find anything of interest, then you can drop me an email on: (sorry but you can not click on this, you have to type it in)

The folk are sorted into a number of groups. The first is my wife's families from Scotland (mainly PARK) and Ireland (CROSGRAY & KIDD).

My WHITFIELDs are from Kent and possibly East Shropshire and South Staffordshire. Also Medway Towns' GARDINERs & THOMPSONs.

On my Mother's side are THORNTONs from London, WISDOMs from East Sussex, Surrey & London and DREWETTs from Hampshire and Surrey.

We do not appear to be related to George WHITEFIELD, the great Methodist preacher.

Finally, there is an unrelated family of WHITFIELDs who flourished in the Berkshire Vale of the White Horse in the 18th and 19th centuries.
