The BS-AC site is THE place start any search for information about the British Sub-Aqua Club.

Information includes:-

  • Branch Contact Details & website links
  • Dive Planning Resource Centre
  • BSAC Shop
  • Interactive learning section

Easytide is an excellent site which provides FREE tidal predictions for any of 6000 ports worldwide.

Predictions are free for for the next 6 days but for longer term predictions, a small fee is payable.

Registeration is free and this gives access to the advanced features where it is possible to set favourite ports for even easier predictions the next time you return.

 

The BBC weather site has a special section for coastal information and links are provided to:-

  • Shipping forecasts
  • Atlantic pressure charts
  • Coastal observations
  • Coastguard
  • Understanding the weather

A very useful links page recommends other weather and sailing related sites.

The Met Office site covers almost everything you'd ever wanted to know about weather from around the world.

 

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency provides information to all safety related issues for activities on the sea.

 

The RNLI site has news releases on the latest rescues at sea, information on fund raisgin events and more information on acting responsibly around the sea.

 

Boatlaunch.co.uk is another excellent site providing information on boat launching facilities all around the UK.

There is a simple to use interactive map that lets you zoom into your area of interest and find out all you need to know about slipway facilities, tides and links for local accommodation.

 

Use the AA Route Planner to calculate a route to your diving destination.

   
Traffic England is a new service from the Highways Agency that provides access to real-time traffic information from the National Traffic Control Centre.
It includes information on:-
  • Roadworks
  • Accidents and delays
  • Electronic message board signs
