Dives

Being an inland branch, we can't dive in the sea as often as we would like to, but we do have some fresh water dive sites nearby that we use for training and rescue skills.

We try to dive as many times as possible throughout the year (including winter)

These are just a few of the places where we visit.
Stoney Cove

Stoney Cove is an inland dive centre about an hours drive away.

The Cove is used for sport and professional diver training. Depths range from 6 to 35 metres.

Most of our open water training is done here during winter and spring.

Under the water there are sunken cars, a bus, aeroplane and even a shipwreck for divers to visit.

Red Sea

The Egyptian Red Sea is a favourite overseas dive destination.

Diving holidays in the Red Sea area can be either shore based with diving activities arranged on day trip boats, or for the more adventurous divers, offshore expeditions can be arranged where diving takes place from large 'live aboard' boats.

West Coast of Scotland

The West Coast of Scotland, is also a favorite UK dive destination for Alfreton BSAC.

Oban on the mainland of Scotland and Tobermory on the Isle of Mull are visited most years.

The waters here are normally very clear and slightly warmer than on the East coast.

There are many shipwrecks and scenic dives to enjoy.
