Stoney Cove is an inland diving centre that we use for open water dive training, skills and assessment dives.

There are various depth contours ranging from 6 to 35metres. This makes it an ideal training centre for divers from novice to advanced levels.

On a recent visit to Stoney Cove, we completed skills assesments for the Advanced Diver 'Rescue Managment'.

These assessments required the trainee Advanced Divers to carry out emergency controlled buoyant lift techniques on a simulated unconcious diver from 20m to the surface.

Once at the surface, full recovery and rescues were carried out and the trainees rescue management skills were assessed under different emergency situations.
