St Albans Folk Music

St Albans Folk Music organises pub sessions, workshops linked to concerts and an annual 'New roots' competition for young musicians. It is a part of the 'Folk at the Festival' Committee which organises the St Albans Folk Festival.

Sessions
Regular weekly sessions continue at the White Lion, Sopwell Lane on Wednesdays at 9pm.

St Albans Folk Festival 2012  This will run from June 25 to July 6 and is now reinstated as a community event within St Albans Festival.. Our St Albans Folk Festival weekend starts with a New Roots showcase at Redbourn Folk Club on June 28. The main events are  on Saturday June 30 2012 with Day of Dance in St Albans City Centre, a day of free folk music in St Albans historic Old Town Hall Folk and concert in the evening. This will be followed by a day of informal music sessions and singarounds local pubs on Sunday July 1. St Michael's Street Folk evening will be on its customary date, Wednesday July 4 2012.

St Michael's Street folk evening will be on on Wednesday July 4 2012. Dancing in St Michael's Street and music in its four pubs.
