A 19 set complete with Variometer,PSU and control box
The 19 set was made in around 1941 by at least 3 manufacturers, British, Canadian, Australian.
It was installed in armored fighting vehicles, allthough there was a ground station version which
had a mains power supply instead of the 12v DC one.
The main unit consisted of two seperate TX/RX,s. The A set covered 2 - 8 Mhz, and the B set
around 240 Mhz. Along with the A and B sets there was an intercom amp to allow comms
within the vehicle. The PSU was driven by 12v DC input. This supplied 2 rotary convertors, one
provided 275 volts, and the other 500 volts when the mic PTT switch was pressed.
