Ready made interfaces, or kits, are available from various sources. I would recommend the BuxComm Rascal range of units. These come in either kit form, or ready made with all leads to suit your particular rig. Below is a diagram of a Rascal interface.

EASY SETUP.
Once you have installed your software all you need do is connect your soundcard to your rig,ie, Rig A/F out to soundcard line in, soundcard line out to rigs Mic input, on some rigs this is also available on the ACC socket, but, on most rigs the ACC socket dosn't activate the VOX. Set the rigs A/F out level so that the background on the waterfall is just sparkly. To set the TX level, put your sofware into TX mode with no data being sent, adjust the soundcard level so that your rigs ALC meter just goes to Zero. If your rig hasn't ALC metering, adjust the level for half RF output, ie, if you want 10w PEP out set the level so that 5w is shown on your RF output meter. If you over drive your TX you will produce excessive sidebands, a wide signal, and get complaints from other users. That is about it, have fun and if you want to contact me feel free to email me.
