Ambermile currently makes a range of accessories for both Meade and Celestron SCT tube assemblies - here are a few of them...
Accessory rails - there are 5 different sizes of accessory rail, to fit both top and bottom, as follows:
Weights - A 3D weight system to fit the above rails is available and a standard weight set is enough to counterbalance an 80mm short-tube refractor. The weights can be split in two for smaller requirements, or extra weight packs can be added to counter larger scopes.
Rings - Parallax rings are made to fit the above rails, currently we have 152mm outside diameter/139mm inside diameter rings to take a scope up to 125mm in tube size (not objective size). Larger or smaller rings can be made to order. We can supply either hard nylon or soft rubber pads for parallax screw ends. NB - These rings are attached via an M6 socket cap bolt - as such they can also be used on other rails/mount systems.
Some other bits, not so specific as those above ..
HEQ5/EQ6 Combi Plate adapter (AmPuck) - an adapter designed to allow the fitting of a William Optics Combi Plate to your mount and so allowing the use of Losmandy-type dovetails and accessories.
AmBubble - a plate designed to assist in accurate levelling of your EQ mount. Fits between your mount and tripod with an extended plate on which is attached a 360o bubble level. Also improves azimuth smoothness.
EQ6/HEQ5 long weight bar - Longer (500mm) stainless steel replacement weight bar. Lets you add more of the mount's capacity as scope rather than counterweight.
Ambermile DTM3 - Side by side dual scope mount, CNC machined from a solid aluminium billet for rigidity and strength. Vixen/Synta dovetail fitting, clear aluminium hard anodised, drilled to allow the fitting of the new wave of telescope mounting "feet" that would otherwise either get scratched or you would need a camera mount - fitting bolts included, as are Allen keys! You can fit your PST safely in any of three positions or even mount a camera in the centre.
Professional quality piers - 1 metre high as standard, 255mm steel tube with 10mm top and bottom plates shotblasted, primed with two-pack zinc-based primer and then oversprayed with a black top coat. In addition, a mount-specific plate is supplied to match you needs - this plate is adjustable for level as well as being designed to fit whatever mount you require. This means that when you upgrade your mount you will only need to replace the top plate rather than the complete pier, For EQ mounts, azimuth adjustment is maintained. Everything required to fit the pier is included, just supply a concrete pad with four holes. Custom sizes are available. NB - These piers are only available from Telescope House
