WORSHIP

Sunday Service takes place at 11.00 am throughout the year.

Our Congregation is made up of people from all walks of life and from many different religious backgrounds who wish to explore and develop their beliefs in the company of others.

Worship will usually consist of music, hymn-singing led by the choir, readings from inspirational works of world literature, prayers, children's story and an address.

There is however no fixed order of service and the pattern may change from time to time.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are served after the service.

The mood is generally relaxed and informal.

OUR MINISTER

Our Minister, the Revd. Cal Courtney, was Inducted on Sunday 8th October 2006. Unfortunately, due to financial restraints he is only employed by us on part-time basis. He normally takes the Sunday Service on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Prior to this he carries out pastoral work, visiting the house-bound and sick members of the congregation.

(In May 2008 Cal embarked on a six months leave of absence. This is due to family illness and Cal is returning to Ireland where he can be of immediate support to his family.)

UNITARIANISM

Unitarianism is a religious movement in which we are all free to follow our own reason.

Unitarianism was developed out of Christianity but regards Jesus as a man and teacher and not as a God to be worshipped.

Unitarianism has no creed or dogma and upholds our right to use our own personal judgment in matters of faith.

Unitarianism gives us the freedom to develop our faith according to our own emotional needs and intellectual insights.

Unitarianism adopts ideas from any helpful source, including other religions.

If you are looking for a church that is liberal, which welcomes diversity and is open to insights from world faiths, reason and science we may be the church for you.
