Angel

Into the world you came, my little rosebuds

Paired together my precious ones

On a February morning, one tiny soul, spirited away

Oh little lamb, so petite, so fair

Skin like fine china...why were you taken from me?

You can’t feel the warmth if you’ve never felt the cold

Out of the darkest places, you can always find a light

I held his fragile body, cradled in my arms

Have to take good care of him, make sure that he’s warm

Wrap him in his blanket, so he doesn’t feel the cold

Couldn’t see the reason why I had to let him go

With my frozen senses I was sent to the base of my confusion

Into a hollow place, face to face, with the suffering we encountered

From all the pain we fight through to the very edge

Somewhere from inside we realise our strength

We gather things around us our eyes begin to see

From the bottom we will rise with a positive devotion

For I know where you are my little one

I listen to your whispers in the wind

Catch your shadow in the light

Hear you sing amongst the trees

You can’t feel the warmth if you’ve never felt the cold

Out of the darkest places you can always find a light

You can’t feel the warmth if you’ve never felt the cold

Out of the palest ashes we will always rise.
