in The Times newspaper "On 5 March, age 67, Elizabeth Charlotte Sparling,
eldest daughter of the late Daniel Oathwaite Blyth, Esq J.P. and the beloved
wife of Philip Smith Sparling, Solicitor, of Colchester. R.I.P." She was
buried on 10 Mar 1877 in Colchester Cemetery, Colchester, Essex. Elizabeth,
67, was living in Holy Trinity, Colchester at the time of her death. 1867: Elizabeth
was living in Colchester.

SPARLING was born on 21 Oct 1804 in Colchester, Essex. He died about May
1890 in All Saints, Colchester, Essex. He was buried on 7 May 1890 in Colchester
Cemetery, Colchester, Essex. Philip, 85, was living in the parish of All Saints,
Colchester at the time of his death. He was an Attourney at Law as per 1841
Census in Colchester, Essex. 1867 Post Office Directory for Essex: Philip is
listed as a Solicitor in St Johns Street, Colchester. He also appears under the
following sections: Clerk and Register to Colchester Burial Board; Commissioners
for taking acknowledgements of married women; Commissioners for Taking Oaths
in Chancery. 1841 Census: Philip, 35, is living at St John's Street, Colchester
with Jane Sparling.
