Samuel Blomfield BLYTH and Charlotte Green PAGE) in 1870.
Their marriage was registered between 1 Jan 1870 and 30 Mar 1870 in Lexden District,
Essex. Samuel Robert BLYTH was born about 1844 in
Langham, Essex. 1871 Census shows Samuel as being born in Langham, the 1881
Census shows he was born in Myland, Essex. 1891 Census - Myland. 1901 Census
- Langham. He was the Executor to the Will of his father, Samuel Blomfield Blyth,
on 27 Mar 1886 in Ipswich, Suffolk. He was the Executor to the Will of his wife,
Elizabeth, on 5 May 1897 in London. He died on 19 Apr 1922 in Ardleigh, Essex.
He was buried in Ardleigh, Essex. Memorial Inscription: In loving memory /

Wick Farm.
1901 Census: Samuel was still at Wick Farm, Ardleigh. He is shown as an employer.
1902 Kelly's Directory lists, under the commercial section, for Ardleigh: Samuel
Robert Blyth, farmer & landowner, Ardleigh Wick. 1851 Census: Samuel, 7,
was living with his family in Langham.
1861 Census: Samuel, 17, was living with his parents at Park Farm, Langham.
1871 Census: Samuel and Elizabeth were at Clock House Farm, Glemsford, Suffolk.
They also had a visitor, Kate Blyth, aged 37, born Nayland, Suffolk, staying
with them.
1881 Census: at Wick Farm, Ardleigh with wife and 3 children. Also with them
were Phoebe A. Blyth, Samuel's sister and 2 servant.
April 1883: Samuel, 39, was admitted into Dedham Nonconformist Church until his
death. He was a farmer from Ardleigh Wick.
Mar 1886: Samuel was in Ardleigh.
1891 Census: Samuel, 47, was living at The Wick, Wick Lane, Ardleigh with his
wife and 3 children. Phoebe A. Blyth and 1 servant were with them.
26th June 1893: Samuel expressed a wish that he be acknowledged as a member of
Langham Baptist Church. He was accepted.
1901 Census: Samuel, 57, widowed, was living at Wick Farm, Ardleigh with some
of his children, his Aunt Phoebe and a domestic servant. Elizabeth BLYTH and
Samuel Robert BLYTH had the following children:

Maude Elizabeth BLYTH was born on 10 Jul 1876 in Ardleigh, Essex. She
was baptised on 15 Jul 1877 in Dedham, Essex. She died on 15 May 1946 in Severalls
Hospital, Colchester, Essex. She was buried in Ardleigh, Essex. Memorial Inscription:
Maud Elizabeth / Blyth / daughter of / Samuel Robert Blyth / and Bessie his wife
/ late of Ardleigh Wick / Born 10 Jul 1876 / died 15 May 1946 / In sure and certain
hope of / a glorious resurrection. 1891 Census: Maude, 14, was living at The
Wick, Wick Lane, Ardleigh with her parents. She was shown as being a scholar.
January 1894: Maude was admitted into Dedham Nonconformist Church. She was later
removed.
1901 Census: Maude, 24, single, was living at Wick Farm, Ardleigh with her father. |
