330. Eliza BLYTH was born in 1847 in Cressing, Essex. She inherrited a farm and land in Writtle from her father on 7 May 1881. Her father instructed his Trustees to hold the farm and lands called 'The Hickerage' in Writtle together with pieces of land called 'How Street Meadow', part of 'Upper Cudhams' amd land at Newney Green, Writtle for Elizas sole use. If Eliza died her father requested his Trustees disposed of the property and divided the proceeds equally between any children Eliza may have had once they reached 21 years old. Eliza was also bequeathed £1000. The residue of her fathers estate was to be disposed of. The proceeds would pay any outstanding debts and the remainder of the money was to be split equally between Eliza and her brothers and sisters. In a 3rd Codicil to the Will, written following the death of her mother, Eliza was to share with her sisters all her fathers clothes, remainder of the plated articles, jewels, china, trinkets, household effects and carriages and harnesses. 1871 Census: Eliza, 24, was living at Leathercoats, Great Baddow, with her husband and son.
1881 Census: Eliza, 34, was living at Hickerage House, Writtle with her husband and 8 children.
1891 Census: Eliza, 44, was living at The Hickerage, Roxwell Road, Writtle with her husband and 5 children.
1901 Census: Eliza, 54, was living at Hickerage House, Roxwell Road, Writtle with her husband and 6 children.
1902 Kelly's Directory, lists under the commercial section for Writtle, Mrs Eliza Parlett, boarding establishment for paying guests or boarders, Stoke House.
