FIFTH GENERATION109. John BLYTH was born about 1739. He was the Executor to the Will of John Blyth, his father on 16 Jul 1759. Other Executors were Isaac Blyth and Samuel Blyth of Langham, Gents. He inherrited his fathers land and property in Boxted on 27 Mar 1762. The land and property was Copyhold of the Manor of Boxted Hall. John also was left the remainder of his fathers estate. He was a Farmer in Oct 1765. He inherrited the Hare and Greyhound Inn from his Great Uncle, Isaac Blyth, on 23 Jun 1768. "I Give and Devise unto my Great Nephew John Blyth (Son of my nephew John Blyth of Boxted) all that my Copyhold Messuage Tenement or Inn called the Hare and Greyhound with the Yards and Appurts belonging to the said Messuage to him and his Heirs for ever". He obtained a marriage license on 19 Oct 1765.
John, upwards of 26, and Mary, upwards of 21, were both single and living in
Boxted. John paid a bond of £200. The marriage was due to take place at
Boxted. He was married to Mary ENFIELD on 28 Oct 1765 in Boxted, Essex. They
were married by Licence. Both signed the register. The witnesses were Peter Ladbrook
and George Enfield. Mary ENFIELD was born about 1744.
