He died on 19 Apr 1922 in Ardleigh, Essex. He was buried in Ardleigh, Essex. Memorial Inscription: In loving memory / of / Bessie / the beloved wife of / Samuel Robert Blyth / who entered into eternal life / February 27th 1897 / Aged 53 years / "who soever liveth and believeth in me shall / never die" / Also of / Samuel Robert Blyth / (of Ardleigh Wick) / Husband of the above / died April 19th 1922 / Aged 78 years / "At thy right arm there are pleasures for everyone". He was a Farmer in Langham, Essex. 1871 Census: Samuel was farming Clock House Farm, Glemsford, Suffolk. He had 160 acres, employing 8 men and 1 boy.
1881 Census: at Wick Farm, Ardleigh with wife and 3 children where he had 380 acres, employed 20 men and 3 boys.
1882 Kelly's Directory: Samuel is listed under principal landowners farming Ardleigh Wick Farm.
1901 Census: Samuel was still at Wick Farm, Ardleigh. He is shown as an employer.
1902 Kelly's Directory lists, under the commercial section, for Ardleigh: Samuel Robert Blyth, farmer & landowner, Ardleigh Wick. 1851 Census: Samuel, 7, was living with his family in Langham.
1861 Census: Samuel, 17, was living with his parents at Park Farm, Langham.
1871 Census: Samuel and Elizabeth were at Clock House Farm, Glemsford, Suffolk. They also had a visitor, Kate Blyth, aged 37, born Nayland, Suffolk, staying with them.
1881 Census: at Wick Farm, Ardleigh with wife and 3 children. Also with them were Phoebe A. Blyth, Samuel's sister and 2 servant.
April 1883: Samuel, 39, was admitted into Dedham Nonconformist Church until his death. He was a farmer from Ardleigh Wick.
Mar 1886: Samuel was in Ardleigh.
1891 Census: Samuel, 47, was living at The Wick, Wick Lane, Ardleigh with his wife and 3 children. Phoebe A. Blyth and 1 servant were with them.
26th June 1893: Samuel expressed a wish that he be acknowledged as a member of Langham Baptist Church. He was accepted.
1901 Census: Samuel, 57, widowed, was living at Wick Farm, Ardleigh with some of his children, his Aunt Phoebe and a domestic servant.

He was married to Elizabeth BLYTH (daughter of James BLYTH and Hannah Maria DUNNINGHAM) in 1870. Their marriage was registered between 1 Jan 1870 and 30 Mar 1870 in Lexden District, Essex. Elizabeth BLYTH was born in 1843 in Langham, Essex. She died on 27 Feb 1897 in Ardleigh Wick, Essex. Her will was proved on 5 May 1897 in London. Her effects were valued at £678. The Will was resworn in Jun 1897, the value of her effects had increased to £697.3.11. She was also known as Bessie. She was buried in Ardleigh, Essex.
