Wet the sky area then paint the cobalt blue. Adding more water to the horizon. Use a crumpled tissue to lift paint to make clouds |

Darker mixture of cobalt blue for the sea. Use the side if the brush and the papers texture to leave white highlights. |

Very dark brownie, blue green (mix ultramarine, vandyke brown, cadmium yellow). Paint the distant land. Weaker paint to the waters edge leaving a thin white line at its base. |

Paint the tower, (mix ultramarine, vandyke brown), dark on the edges. Use a clean dry brush for the lighter parts in between. |

Wet the foreground, loosely mix (mix ultramarine, vandyke brown, cadmium yellow), Use a wet in wet technique to mix the colours on the paper. |

Dark colour (ultramarine and vandyke brown) for the rocks at the foot of the tower, tower details and near cliff edge. |

|
Weak mix of the cadmium yellow and the previous dark mix to give a glaze to the tower and an indication of sand. Add more detail to the rocks to form the base of the tower. |
