Techniques
...

Abstract photography has historically been about close-ups, reflections and sunsets. The artwork that Artistnos produces is complex in both method and philosophy. Our techniques have been developed over many years and we still spend a great deal of time developing new lenses, new exposure combinations and new film effects in an effort to produce fresh and exciting new work for our clients.

At the heart of the Artistnos method of image production is Camera, Film and Lens, it's as simple as that. We still use film cameras and always produce a proof transparency with our work to prove, to a sometimes sceptical audience, that our work is genuine, pure and not the product of some clever post-production plug-ins for Photoshop. Film camera's are honest machinistic tools and exist to serve the intellectual development that exists between photographer and image.

It is our philosophy that our images should hold up on their own as individuals. The trouble with using computerised plug-ins is that your work will be clouded by anyone else who chooses to utilise the same plug-in and, by extension, weakened in its individuality.

It is because of this philosophy that our work may take longer to develop and cost more than alternative sources of obtaining graphics for your project ... But we feel the end justifies the means, we hope you agree.

Thank you for considering Artistnos. We look forward to working with you in the future.
