British Infantry Go In to Attack in Italy
During their advance along the Adriatic and inland, infantry troops of a famous British regiment launched an attack on enemy positions with support from tanks and artillery. They went on through open country to obtain their objectives, while the enemy withdrew leaving a number of prisoners in British hands. The majority of prisoners where very young; their clothing was ill fitting and torn, and in some cases in rags, and their boots worn out. A number of them were suffering from sores.
