The Lewis Collection

The Lewis Collection are a Commissioned set of Writing Instruments produced to the highest quality in a number of finishes:

Enamelled Black, Satin, 24K Gold Plate, Platinum (Rhodium) and TN (Tin Plate), the fittings are extremely hard wearing and and Guaranteed for life both by myself and the fittings manufacturer.

The Barrels of the pen are produced using crushed Rock from the hillside of the Isle of Lewis, Sand from the beaches on the Westside and the Heather is from the hillside behind my workshop.

The process involved in encasing the rock, sand and heather takes approximately 7 to 14 days from start to completions, where at this stage i can start to form this item into the pen body.

The items are as Unique as the isles, as when you are carrying the item, you are not only carrying memory's of the Isle, you own an item that the material in part originated some 3000 Million years ago (the Lewisian Rock) and as in the history of the British Isles, the Isle of Lewis was the first bedrock to emerge from the subsiding seas as the British Isles where formed.

The Lewis Collection are a wonderful Gift for a friend or relative world wide, whom has connections with Scotland and especially the Isles, as it allows them to carry part of their history with them. You can be assured they would be the envy of your friends and colleagues, and that there would be no other item exactly the same through out the world as each item is unique due to being handmade as well the materials used.

          THE HIGHLANDER

The Highlander is a new regiment formed in 1994, with the amalgamation of the Cameron's, Seaforth and Gordon Highland regiments with renowned Battle Honours in their own right.

The writing instrument shown is The Lewis Collection materials Rock and Sand from Lewis, it is a Twist Style Pen with 24K Gold Plated Fittings. The Piper is Handmade and Hand painted to the highest quality, the standard of detail is exceptional a very nicely detailed collectors piece adding a further uniqueness as no other Piper will be exactly the same due to being handcrafted, The Piper is clad in Royal Stewart Tartan,

Pipers similarly clad are seen at Edinburgh Castle.

     ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDER

The Argyllshire Highlanders were raised in 1794 when King George III asked the Highland Land Owners to raise Regiments.

The 93rd Sutherland Highlanders were raised in 1799   and in 1881 the two historic regiments were linked to form the 1st & 2nd Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders
