Cornish Organic Wool
First Founder Yarn Supplier

Cornish Organic Wool - licensed by the Soil Association - source organic wool from local farmers and supply the spun wool to customers with minimal impact on the environment. All of their farmers are Soil Association accredited or are certified with Organic Farmers & Growers Ltd (OF&G) and are dedicated to the welfare of their animals. The wool is spun in the only Soil Association accredited spining mill in the country - in Launceston, Cornwall - warranting true "Made in Cornwall" status.  The wool is available online or from “Knit Wits” in Penzance and a number of other outlets too.

Their range of kits are supplied in bags made from sustainable forests and everything is mailed in recycled jiffy bags with padding made from recycled newspapers - with any additional non-wool items needed being sourced from fair trade or local suppliers.

It's great to welcome a company on board that has taken so much trouble to close the loop so thoroughly.
