Oyster Fayre 2007

The Oyster Fayre cup winners

The Oyster Fayre Cup was played for by 8 swordsmen and women who had fought through qualifying rounds to be in the tournament which was held at Colchester’s famous Oyster Fayre over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of June 2007.

The tournament was fantastic and the level of swordsmanship displayed was truly stupendous. The tournament drew in huge crowds on both days and the final on the Sunday saw people coming back from the day before just to see who would be the champion and winner of the cup.

I would like to thank everyone involved with the tournament and extend my personal thanks to Ted Lloyd and his team for such a wonderful weekend.

The winners where…

First place, winner of the Oyster Fayre Cup and gold medal was Steve ‘The Bull Dog’ Williams.

Second place and winner of the Silver medal was Chaz ‘The Groo’ Albrighton.

Third place and winner of the Bronze medal was Rob Grealy.

I would like to thank all those who took part in the tournament, you all fought extreamly well. Congratulations one and all.

Steve ‘The Bull Dog’ Williams by winning at Oyster fayre has secured himself a place in the AOBC UK finals to be held at the Uffington White Horse Show on August the 26th and 27th 2007.
